These past two years, I’ve been interested in shooting portraits instead of the usual landscape photography I usually partake in. So, I think it would be wise to document my “Little Portrait Adventures” and start a series here on the blog entitled “Jerace (Tries To) Shoots Portraits”. I started this so-called portrait series years back on my VSCO account, and then tried uploading some on my Instagram account, and now to my EyeEm account. I am not very particular with how I shoot my subjects, and I am also not very particular with the equipment I use, whether my phone or my camera, because I am firm believer that the photograph depends on who shoots and not with what you use. 🙂
So for the first upload on #JeraceShootsPortraits, I shot some portraits of my dear friend Talna. These photos were taken during our Chinese New Year photo walk.
January 28, 2017, a few friends and I decided to have a photowalk around Binondo, Manila along with experiencing the Lunar New Year first hand on the streets of the Oldest China Town in the world.
We met at around 10:30 am at a mall in Binondo. Started our photowalk on the different streets and alleyways at 11 am. We end at around 5 pm and ended our day with cups of coffee and tea at The Den, a coffee shop located at Escolta, Manila.
Here are some of the pictures I’ve taken using my Nikon D3200 with its kit lens.
Hello, I’ve decided to create yet another blog. I just want to introduce myself to you.
My name is Jerace Garcia and I live in the chaotic yet beautiful city of Manila, Philippines. I am 25 years old and currently in between stopovers. I am interested in photography, books, music, and writing (even if I am not really that great at it).
I like to read, take pictures, and drink hot beverages
